ICON LAS OLAS HOSTS BROWARD MASTER BROKERS FORUM DISCUSSION ON SOUTH FLORIDA INFRASTRUCTURE
As concerns about transportation, health care, and other “quality of life” issues continue to grow in South Florida, the Broward Master Brokers Forum (MBF) recently held a panel discussion focusing on the region’s evolving infrastructure. ICON Las Olas, The Related Group’s signature project in downtown Ft. Lauderdale, hosted the event for the MBF; an organization comprised of South Florida’s top residential real estate agents.
During the cocktail reception, members of the MBF enjoyed the opportunity to visit the ICON Las Olas sales center, located at 500 E. Las Olas Blvd. Bill Hahne, sales manager for the project and a Broward MBF board member, made a brief presentation and welcomed the members and guests.
The panel discussion, "Moving Forward - Improving Infrastructure to Improve Business" was moderated by Mark Schumacher, former WPLG Ch. 10 news anchor and current director of the Chris Evert Children's Hospital Foundation. The panelists included:
• Allan Siegel - Community Outreach Coordinator, Broward County Aviation Department
• Joe Scott - CEO, Broward General Medical Center
• John Hart - President, John Hart Consulting (former Broward County Commissioner and "People for Progress" Campaign Manager)
“Today’s home buyers are exceptionally savvy, and think beyond just the homes and immediate neighborhoods they’re considering,” said Carolyn Block Ellert, chair of the Broward MBF. “Every day, real estate agents are questioned about schools, traffic, and hospitals, and this discussion provided us with information we need to do our job more effectively.”
